Sometimes you discover something by chance - and suddenly you can't let it go. That's exactly how it was when I first saw mandala painting using the dot painting technique on Instagram. The artistic patterns made up of countless dots had a fascinating effect on me. I knew immediately: I want to be able to do that too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What looked so effortless at first glance quickly turned out to be an exciting challenge. Placing the dots required full attention. But it wasn't just the dots, brushstrokes were quickly added. While the dots were quite easy to learn, the brushstrokes required much more practice. But that's exactly what made it so appealing to me: immersing myself in a technique that allows both precision and creative freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For me, painting a mandala is more than just a creative act - it is a meditative process. As soon as the first dot or stroke is made, the next one follows, and with each additional element a harmonious order is created. I love to concentrate fully on colours, shapes and the interplay of the individual elements when painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don't have a fixed style, I'm always trying out new things. Sometimes it's clear, symmetrical patterns, sometimes freer shapes. Sometimes I work with subtle colours, then again with bright contrasts. For me, mandala painting is not a static process, but something that is constantly evolving - just like myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
